How to Make Minnie Mouse Oreos
My daughter Ruthie just turned two, and we recently threw her an “Oh Two-dles” Minnie Mouse birthday party. It was a small, low-key party, but I did throw together a few fun Minnie-themed treats, and these Minnie Mouse Oreos were by far my favorite.

- Mini Oreos
- Pink melting chocolate or candy melts

You’ll also want to have these tools on hand:

Making Your Minnie Mouse Oreos
Prepare the Work Area
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper – this makes for easy cleanup, and also, gives the melting chocolate a place to harden.
Melt the Chocolate
- I used a large cup to melt my chocolate, but you could also use a bowl. Just make sure it’ll be deep enough to dip your Oreos half way in.
Dip the Oreos
- I dipped the regular sized Oreos halfway into the chocolate, and then laid them on the parchment paper to set.
Attach the Ears
- I found that the easiest way to attach the ears (the mini Oreos) was to split the two pieces of the mini Oreo in half, and scrape off the cream with a knife. Then I dipped just the very edge of each piece into the melted chocolate, and wedged it in between the two pieces of the big Oreo, being careful not to break the big one.
- Allow your treats to cool and set – they didn’t take long just sitting on my counter, and you could put them in the fridge to make it even faster if you want.
Add Decorative Touches (Optional)
- I didn’t add any extras to our Minnie Mouse Oreos, and I think they turned out adorable! However, if you want, you could sprinkle yours with edible glitter, add white polka dots on top of the pink chocolate, or add a bow made of icing or candy to complete the Minnie Mouse look.
Tips & Ideas
- Make sure to use a microwave-safe cup or bowl to melt your chocolate. This should be really obvious, but I melted through a Solo cup while trying to make ours… Oops. 🙈
- I made these cookies the day before our party to ensure freshness. However, we did store a few leftovers in the fridge, and they were still absolutely delicious a few days later!
- Want to make Mickey Mouse Oreos instead of Minnie? Just use red melting chocolate instead of pink!
We made these adorable decorated Oreos for our Minnie-themed birthday party, but they would be equally fun for a movie night at home, a Disney-themed event, or even just because. I can also picture using them to surprise your children and tell them about an upcoming trip to Disney World – that would be so fun!
Not only are these treats cute and DELICIOUS, they’re so easy to make, too! My almost-six-year-old, Ella, helped me with dipping the Oreos in the chocolate (I handled the more delicate details, like putting the pieces together). And only a FEW Oreos got eaten while we worked. 😂

We’ve also thrown a super-cute kitty cat-themed birthday party (make sure to check out the Adopt-a-Kitten station – that part’s my favorite!).
